Payton Rae’s Hootenanny
Teen artist Payton Rae - with more than 54,000 followers on Twitter, 18,000 “likes” on Facebook and more than 2.6 million YouTube views at her dedicated channel (over six million combined views) - is undeniably part of a new wave of performers who are taking their music directly to the fans. So when the emerging Internet phenom hosts an EP Release/Fan Club party on June 7 at Nashville music venue The Rutledge, her fan base throughout the globe will be able to participate too, thanks to live streaming from Nashville Hootenanny. During the broadcast, which starts at 1:15 pm CT at www.nashvillehootenanny.com, Payton Rae will perform music from her new 5-song EP, DARE TO LIVE, and take questions submitted live from fans.
The event at the Rutledge is free, and open to all music fans.
“My first EP release party was in Houston, and it was amazing!” said native Texan Payton Rae. “Having a party in Music City - one that I can share with all my fans - is a dream come true.”
Nashville Hootenanny, producer/songwriter David Malloy’s monthly live streaming event showcasing emerging artists, has now featured more than 150 artists, and is seen by viewers from 78 countries and all 50 states. “It’s so exciting to see the raw talent that exists in these artists in the fetal stage of their career,” said Malloy. “It is very gratifying to help them out while the audience gets to hear some great music.”
Payton Rae performed as part of the Nashville Hootenanny live stream in March, and will participate in the June 25 “Teen Hoot,” a highly successful offshoot of Nashville Hootenanny that highlights young songwriters and performers.
DARE TO LIVE, Payton Rae’s debut project, was produced by Nashville music veteran Brian White. Within the first 24 hours of sales, DARE TO LIVE charted on iTunes’ country album chart with a peak position of #4 in the U.S. Due to her passionate following across the globe – fired by street teams in 21 different countries - DARE TO LIVE also charted Top Five in Canada (#2), Ireland (#3), the UK (#3), Belgium (#3) and Australia (#4.) Tens of thousands of fans viewed the EP’s debut video, “Dare To Live,” within its’ first 24 hours online; with over 38,000 views the first weekend, Payton Rae’s YouTube channel charted at #18 on the site’s “Most Viewed“ list for musicians.
